摘要：In Riemannian geometry, a core issue has been interplays between geometrical and topological structures on a Riemannian manifold M, and the study of fundamental groups of manifolds of positive, nonnegative sectional curvature or Ricci curvature has been a focal point in Metric Riemannian geometry.

 The purpose of this lecture series is to give a quick introduction to the above research area.

CONTENTS

Lecture 1. Overview; from classical results to most recent advances, main tools, conjectures and open problems.

Lecture 2. Fundamental groups of manifolds of positive or non-negative sectional curvature.

Lecture 3. Fundamental groups of manifolds of positive or nonnegative Ricci curvature.

Lecture 4. Discussion on open problems/conjectures.
