摘要: in late 1970s, uhlenbeck outlined a program using a single PDE to study various problems in parametrization of minimal immersions in hyperbolic 3-manifolds, with applications to representation theory. The program has set off many research problems and new directions. In this student seminar, I will outline her approach and recent progress towards some questions she raised as well as some future outlooks.
